# Emmanuel Roche / French Luser QX-10 Archives

Collection of Epson QX-10 archive floppies from the late Emmanuel Roche / "French Luser".
There are 85 total discs, of which I got all except for 12 to 22, 30 and 77.

Uploaded to archive.org at https://archive.org/details/emmanuel_roche_qx10_archives

## Dumping

Dumping was done with a Greaseweazle and a Shugart SA450 drive (except for the 96 TPI disk).
They were done in raw format, then exported to .HFE via the HxC software suite.

## Geometry and Errors

Most if not all of the discs use the default QX-16 formatting or the QX+ format from MML CP/M Plus.
See: https://electrickery.hosting.philpem.me.uk/comp/qx10/detail.html

The following discs have errors:
* 35: has corruptions I couldn't recover. 1 corrupted sector per track for the 20 first tracks of both sides...
* 40: paper note saying "TRKCOPY thinks QX-10 has 80 tracks"
* 43: 2 sectors errors on side0: T37S16 and T38S16
* 44.5: not in the listing, but was in the boxes. 96 TPI!
* 53: head crash on the last sectors, but data sectors are still fine
* 64: 2 bad sectors on track 20 head 0
* 80: 2 bad sectors on tracks 13 and 14, head 1

## Contents

At the moment, the contents have not been explored.

There is a listing document which I scanned, see `_emmanuel_roche_qx10_archives_listing.pdf`

There seems to be a lot of duplicate files at first glance, so hopefully the damaged files are duplicates.
